Soft parade

2014, installation, stuffed cloth-bricks, 150 x 50 x 50 cm

This work clearly contradicts the conception of a punching bag. "Hugging bag" is made for love; not fight or hate.  It invites a spectator to approach and hug it. It is very soft and beautiful; moreover, the material (- velvet) that it is made of, has the status and confronts a spectator on a very special level. It's size is a copy of a real punching bag and this fact enhances the confusion about its intention. It invites to question human practices and rethink them.

This work represents a conceptual landscape of my creative process. It touches on the concepts of absurdity, paradox, codes, interpretation and questioning of status quo.

2018, installation,   MOFUTA Gallery, Barcelona, May 2018

2018, modelling paste, mirror, 7 x 90 x 230 cm

Shadow appears when something obstructs the passage of light. But this shadow is white and may as well represent a source of light. It is independent of any objects; it is both the form and its shadow. It looks like a fallen human body that crushed on the ground. The fact that it is crushed is because it is away from a body to which it supposedly belongs. Then, it is like an allusion to the body of history that also suffers deformations due to the memories with vested interests.
